George Creighton was a very active, long time volunteer in Falmouth youth sports and baseball in particular.  This scholarship is named in his honor.  Because of Mr. Creighton's long commitment to volunteerism, the main criteria for receiving a scholarship is community involvement.

Academic achievement, sports participation and financial need are also factors in determining scholarship winners.  Any Falmouth resident and high school student can get applications for the scholarship from the guidance department at Falmouth High School.

In 2007 the Commodores awarded six scholarships totaling $3000 to Brett Anderson and Allison Casiles, pictured here, as well as Maria Cecilia Pineda, Kevin Laramee, Lauren Hanney and James Womboldt.
